Jim dine value tool drawing
During this lesson, fifth grade students studied artist Jim Dine. We focused on the drawing of tools that he made and how he used value to make them look three dimensional. After this lesson, students practiced a variety of ways to show value with this pencil including shading, cross-hatching, and stippling. Next, students chose a tool(s) to draw and used value to make them look 3-D like Jim Dine's!
